Sony Xperia Z1S leaked, may be the Xperia Z1 f’s international version
Earlier this month, Sony had unveiled the Xperia Z1f in Japan, which many thought as a region specific model. However, new evidence has now surfaced online, suggesting the company may launch an international variant soon.
Popular Twitter spy, @evleaks has released a picture of an unseen Sonysmartphone, titled Xperia Z1S, which is understood to be the global variant of the recently released Xperia Zf (SO-02f) aka Xperia Z1 Mini. However, some tech blogs have hinted, it might be the US bound Xperia Z1 model, but it will remain speculation until Sony offficially confirms the smartphone model. The device is expected to get launched by the end of 2013. [To view the Snapshot of Xperia Z1S, Click Here]
As of now, Sony Xperia Z1f (SO-02f) is retailed exclusively by Japanese carrier NTT Docomo and is reported to go on sale later in the year. The smartphone packs pretty much the same hardware components seen in the original Xperia Z1 sans the display. It sports 4.3-inch HD (720x1280p) screen and runs on theAndroid v4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor with Adreno 330 graphics engine.
Other key specifications include 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 20.7-megapixel camera, 2.2-megapixel front-facing camera and 2,300 mAh battery.

If the rumour of a Sony Xperia Z1 mini international variant turns out to be true, the Japanese company will have the distinction of offering true premium phone in a small package, compared to rivals who offer smaller variants of their top marquee models, with stripped down specifications. For instance SamsungGalaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini come packed with only half the features of their original flagship models.Key specifications of Sony Xperia Z1 f (SO-02f):

    • The Sony Xperia SP is a good mid-range Android smartphone, especially if you want a phone that offers a good battery backup. Even performance wise, it does pretty well when it comes to doing day-to-day tasks and even playing medium to high end games, thanks to its Adreno 320 GPU.

However, at an asking price of around Rs.25,000, we feel that the phone has been priced a bit on the higher side as we were disappointed with its screen and the camera's low-light performance.

If you're in the market for a mid-range Android phone you could also look at the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus, LG Optimus L9 and the Samsung Grand (if you don't mind a phablet).

If you can pump up your budget by a few thousand rupees, you could also consider buying the Samsung Galaxy S III or the HTC One X+, which are now available at considerable discounts compared to their original launch prices.
